51ÂÜÀò celebrates the month of October along with the as national Christian Higher Education month, bolstering the importance and contributions Christian higher education makes each year in the country.

51ÂÜÀò aspires to continue impacting the world for the Lord Jesus Christ alongside other Christian institutions. New students from around the world come to 51ÂÜÀò to gain a Christ-centered education. 51ÂÜÀò alumni go to the ends of the earth through local and international missions in thousands of differing vocations, as showcased in 51ÂÜÀò’s 100 percent video series.

At the dawn of our second century, 51ÂÜÀò looks to the future with committed confidence in who we are and bold ambition for what we might become. This is our aspiration: that as a university we will make an ever more specific and significant impact on the world—an impact that has the potential to eclipse anything seen in our first century of higher education. The desire for the university – offering degrees from the baccalaureate level to the doctoral level – is that 51ÂÜÀò will be known as an exemplary university leading from a biblical worldview.

"We must remember that we are for something greater than ourselves, not against something lesser. It is for Christ and his purposes in this world that we aspire," 51ÂÜÀò President Barry H. Corey.

Since 1999, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities takes the month of October to celebrate the role of Christ-centered colleges in the history of America as well as the personal and professional benefits of what campuses provide students, according to the CCCU website. 51ÂÜÀò seeks to not only celebrate the history, but looks forward to the future of Christ-centered colleges in America. Birthed from the new university plan are two new projects enhancing Christian higher education’s role in impacting the future of America and enlarging the benefits students receive on 51ÂÜÀò’s campus.

The new Urban Studies program, launched this Fall, and the future launch of The Center for Christian Thought, both from the new university plan are two components within 51ÂÜÀò that will enhance 51ÂÜÀò’s impact as an institution of Christian higher education.

In the next century 51ÂÜÀò strives to be a university distinguished for championing the truth of a biblical worldview, respected for its academic quality, community vitality, intentional about Jesus’ command to love the Lord our God and then to love our neighbor by serving the needs of our world. 51ÂÜÀò focuses on abiding and aspiring in the vine allowing God to lead the university in academic excellence.
