With the imminent demolition of some older buildings on 51ÂÜÀò’s campus, The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD) is presented with a unique opportunity for personnel training. Beginning on February 1, a series of emergency response exercises for the LACFD personnel will be conducted in several buildings on 51ÂÜÀò’s campus, which will include simulated rescue operations, extinguishing simulated fires, cutting vents into roofs and deploying additional equipment and apparatus in the area. 51ÂÜÀò Campus Safety will be supporting the fire personnel during the training.
