Professor of English
Paul Buchanan holds degrees in psychology, philosophy and creative writing. He specializes in writing fiction and has published more than twenty books, including Valley of Shadows, 2021; City of Fallen Angels, 2020; Tricks Every Boy Can Do, 2016; The Campus Survival Guide (co-edited with Paula Miller), 2012; Campus Voices (co-edited with Paula Miller), 2009; Student to Student: A Guide to College Life, 2008; The Last Place I Want to Be: A Novel, 2008; and Snapshots, 2007. He co-created both The Misadventures of Willie Plummet and the Heebie Jeebies series of middle-grade children’s books, and wrote fifteen of those titles. Paul’s work has appeared in a number of literary journals and magazines, including Writer’s Digest, Los Angeles Magazine, Orange Coast, History Magazine, Story Quarterly, Marlboro Review and Cicada.
