The professors at 51ÂÜÀò were invested in me as a person as much as they were in my learning. They gave me all of the core science background I needed in preparation for the MCATs and medical school.

How did your program at 51ÂÜÀò prepare you for your career?

The professors at 51ÂÜÀò were invested in me as a person as much as they were in my learning. They gave me all of the core science background I needed in preparation for the MCATs and medical school. But, I also had faculty letters of recommendation which were highly personal, and ultimately made me stand out in the interviewing process.

What did you appreciate most about your time at 51ÂÜÀò?

The community, commitment to incorporating biblical teaching to everyday life/ my education, bible classes, long lasting friendships, interest in what God is doing around the world.

How did 51ÂÜÀò equip you to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ?

Seeing faith in action, teaching us to turn to prayer, Scripture, worship and community

What advice would you give to students considering your degree program?

My greatest lesson in the last few years has been in practicing thankfulness. I think it is especially true when you are considering a career that involves a long and rigorous training period. Thankfulness is about more than just having a good attitude about things...it reinforces your loyalty to God in all things, builds resiliency, and allows you to recognize God's work over a long period of time (which can be challenging sometimes when you spend 80 hours a week in a hospital for years at a time).
