How did your program at 51ÂÜÀò prepare you for your career?

In the engineering 3+2 program, I was able to take general engineering courses for the first 3 years and select my engineering major as a junior, rather than as a freshman. I ended up choosing a different engineering major than I thought I would as a freshman. 51ÂÜÀò prepared me for my career by providing an opportunity to round out an engineering education with the liberal arts. In addition to my general education classes and Bible minor, some of my favorite electives were in the philosophy of science and cultural anthropology - areas of knowledge I still draw on in my workplace today.

What did you appreciate most about your time at 51ÂÜÀò?

I most appreciated the supportive university community that fostered an excellent environment for spiritual growth while providing a college education.

How did 51ÂÜÀò equip you to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ?

The discipleship I received from my coach as a student athlete, in combination with classes in theology and Christian living, challenged my faith and set a foundation for me to become a committed life-long follower of Jesus.

What advice would you give to students considering your degree program?

Be open to the the many non-traditional career paths available to engineers in business, finance, and engineering management.
