When I think of women I look up to on campus, Dr. Melissa Schuberts name is high on the list. She is fiercely intelligentpossessing the ability to talk about grief in a way that acknowledges its complexity, while still holding firm to the hope we have in Christ.

Maybe some of you have had griefs, and received too small a consolation in the face of them. Maybe some of you have sat by others in grief, or suffering, and thought, I have too small a consolation. Or, thought that you had a big enough consolation, or experienced your friend or neighbor as inconsolable.

Maybe some of you have had griefs, and received too small a consolation in the face of them."

Listening to her acknowledge that sometimes, the comfort we find in the face of trials just doesn't feel like enough, felt like exhaling a breath I'd been holding for too long.

Trust me, youll want to all the way to the end.
