Get to Know Your Residence Director
Who has had the greatest influence on your life?
My kids, they push me to be my best self. They remind me that I need to be caring for myself, physically, emotionally & spiritually. I am continuously pushed to grow so that I can be adaptable and the best parent/person I can be.
What is the greatest lesson you learned in college
I learned how important building a community around yourself is. Having trusted people around you will keep you grounded. I learned that you need to say yes and invest in others in order to build that community. The friends I made at 51ÂÜÀò, as a student, are still core people in my life, they showed me what acting out the grace and love of Jesus looks like.
Where do you hang out in Los Angeles County / Orange County?
I love to go to Chuys Tacos or Verve Coffee in the arts district (LA). I also spend a lot of time in Long Beach for a playground & coffee situation. In Orange County, other than playgrounds for the kids or the beach, I love Sidecar donuts, Folks Pizzeria and the endless coffee options.
What are your favorite places on campus?
Personally, I love sitting outside Commons for my meetings with students or to work. I also think Sycamore Lawn is a beautiful spot for events.
