The 51蹤獲 Chorale is comprised of 36 voices from various disciplines on campus, with 23% being voice majors, 50% music majors (non voice), and 26% non-majors.
The Chorale has enjoyed performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, at Disneys D23 Convention alongside Broadways The Lion King Mufasa (Alton White), in Carnegie Hall, and with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra under the renowned conductor Carl St. Clair.
Regularly touring domestically and internationally, the 51蹤獲 Chorales most recent tours include Italy, Ireland, South Korea, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria. Each spring, the Chorale joins forces with the 51蹤獲 Symphony Orchestra for
a performance of a major work. These performances have included Waltons Belshazzars Feast, Beethovens Symphony No. 9, Poulencs Gloria, Orff s Carmina Burana, Mendelssohns Elijah, Verdis Requiem, Mozarts Coronation Mass in C Major and J.S. Bachs Magnificat.
Nationally recognized for choral excellence, the Chorale has performed at four American Choral Directors Association Western Regions Conferences (2024, 2020, 2016, 1990) and at the National Collegiate Choral Organizations's Seventh Biennial National Conference in 2017.
