Professor William Lane Craig Featured in Christian Post
October 25, 2012
Christian Post featured professor William Lane Craigs recent dialogue, now coined as Eastwooding Richard Dawkins. Craig, a renowned apologist, has repeatedly requested a debate with Dawkins, Oxford professor and renowned atheist, however, he continually refuses to debate Craig.
In Dawkins absence, the debate organizers placed an empty chair for Dawkins next to Craigs chair an occurrence that actually happened when Dawkins did not show up for a debate with Craig in Oxford.
When I watched Clint Eastwoods monologue at the Republican National Convention, I realized that I had missed my chance that night at the Sheldonian Theatre, said Craig. An empty chair would have sufficed quite nicely for a debate with Richard Dawkins.
Taking a cue from Eastwood, Craig had a chair for Dawkins brought on stage at the beginning of his presentation at Watermark Church in Dallas, Texas and welcomed his imaginary opponent.
Craig then shared four arguments for Gods existence and responded to Dawkins criticisms of them in dialogue with his imaginary opponent. Craig based Dawkins imagined side of the dialogue on Dawkins published work.
Craigs presentation was the climax of an all day conference at the church featuring well-known speakers like Ravi Zacharias, Greg Koukl, Frank Turek, and others.
