That is why weve expanded our scholarships for both freshmen and transfer students to their largest amounts ever. Academic scholarships which are merit-based awards that do not need to be repaid range from $14,000 to $23,000. And there are lots of additional scholarships beyond those.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Eligibility is based on the students unweighted final high school GPA and scores received on the SAT or ACT.

  • Continuous, full-time enrollment is expected to receive the full scholarship amount. If you choose to enroll as a part-time student, your scholarship will be prorated based on your total credit count (911 credits will receive 75% of the scholarship and 68 credits will receive 50% of the scholarship).

  • July 1 Transfer students entering 51蹤獲 for the fall semester must ensure that their most up-to-date transcripts are in the possession of 51蹤獲s Office of Admissions no later than this date.

  • December 15 Transfer students entering 51蹤獲 for the spring semester must ensure that their most up-to-date transcripts are in the possession of 51蹤獲s Office of Admissions no later than this date.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Students are eligible for this scholarship if they are transferring 15 or more credits (based on a college transcript).

  • If the student is transferring 14 credits or less, they are only eligible for the Freshman Academic Scholarship based on the student's high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores.

  • Continuous, full-time enrollment is expected to receive the full scholarship amount. If you choose to enroll as a part-time student, your scholarship will be prorated based on your total credit count (911 credits will receive 75% of the scholarship and 68 credits will receive 50% of the scholarship).

Ahmanson Veterans Scholarship

The Ahmanson Veterans Scholarship was generously donated by The Ahmanson Foundation in an effort to support veterans who are eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill簧. Funds are applicable to tuition, Collegium membership, and the .

Up to $3,000 per year (for undergraduate students)

Alumni Dependent Scholarship

Amount for 202425 School Year

$1,000 per year

Application

No separate application required. The eligible student should indicate "alumni" on the parent section of the 51蹤獲 Application for Admission. The Office of Admissions automatically awards the Alumni Dependent Scholarship at the time the eligible student is admitted to 51蹤獲.

No deadline. Priority given to early applicants.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • The student is eligible if he/she is the dependent of someone who has completed 30 credits of coursework at 51蹤獲 (including Talbot School of Theology, Rosemead School of Psychology, the Cook School of Intercultural Studies, School of Education or Crowell School of Business) at the time the student enters 51蹤獲.

  • Teaching credential students (without an accompanying masters degree) are not eligible.

  • Students who are using the Tuition Waiver program are not eligible for this scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded before tuition waiver is added to a students financial aid package, the scholarship will be removed.

Campus Visit Scholarship

The Campus Visit Scholarship is available to any incoming freshman, transfer, or freshman transfer student who takes part in a registered visit on campus (Admissions sponsored event or individual tour) between August 1, 2024 and August 30, 2025.

$500 to be disbursed equally between Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

No separate application required. The Office of Admissions will award this scholarship to eligible students upon acceptance to 51蹤獲.

April 30, 2025  Students must take part in a registered visit on campus between August 1, 2024 and August 30, 2025

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • The student must be an incoming freshman, transfer, or freshman transfer student who took part in a registered visit on campus (Admissions sponsored event or individual tour) between August 1, 2023 and August 30, 2024 and enrolls in the Fall 2025 entry term.
  • International students are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Readmit students, online bachelors students, or students who are earning a second bachelors degree are not eligible.
  • Students are eligible for only one Campus Visit Scholarship regardless of the number of visits.
  • The student must remain continuously enrolled. Eligibility for the scholarship will terminate if a recipient withdraws for any reason, including illness or academic probation.
  • The student must be enrolled at least half time for each term to be eligible.

  • The scholarship is limited to one year/two semesters of enrollment and will be paid out equally in the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.

  • The student must remain continuously enrolled. Eligibility for the scholarship will terminate if a recipient withdraws for any reason, including illness or academic probation.

  • The student must be enrolled at least half time for each term to be eligible.

  • If a student postpones enrollment to a future academic term, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.

    • Note that if a student postpones to Spring 2025, they will be allowed to have the spring portion only.

  • Other institutional aid will typically not reduce this scholarship unless the scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the students cost of attendance.

  • External aid such as private scholarships or Cal Grant will typically not reduce this scholarship unless the scholarship reduces eligibility for the external aid or if the scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the students cost of attendance. However, the scholarship must be coordinated with other state and federal financial aid and may impact eligibility based on their rules.

  • The recipient must meet standards to maintain eligibility for the scholarship.

  • The scholarship is not transferable.

  • The scholarship is only applicable to freshman, transfers, and freshman transfers (readmits, post-bachelors, and second bachelors are not eligible)

  • The scholarship cannot be used to cover the cost of study abroad programs including 51蹤獲-led programs.

  • Students who are using the Tuition Waiver program are not eligible for this scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded before tuition waiver is added to a students financial aid package, the Campus Visit Scholarship will be removed.

  • The scholarship is not refundable in the event the student has enough other institutional gift aid to cover all institutional charges.

  • The scholarship will typically be added to a students financial aid package within a week of acceptance to 51蹤獲.

Church Matching Scholarship

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Student must be enrolled at least half-time

  • Student must be enrolled in a traditional degree program.

  • Special programs are not eligible.

FirstGen Scholars Program Scholarship

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Any incoming student who is a first-generation college student
    • A first-generation college student is someone whose neither parent completed a bachelor's degree in the U.S.

    • We acknowledge that first-generation students have diverse stories, perhaps one or both of your parents attended college but havent graduated with a bachelors degree or have attended college in another country.

  • Demonstrate need verified by the Office of Financial Aid

  • Stated commitment to participate in the FirstGen Scholars Program at 51蹤獲

Renewable Status

Yes, this scholarship is renewable annually (with active participation in the FirstGen Scholars program) and may be renewed for up to four academic years (eight semesters total). Students enrolled in programs requiring more than four years, including Nursing (nine semesters total) and some Music emphases (ten semesters total), will be granted an extension of the scholarship for their fifth year of study.

Golden State Teacher Grant Program

The Golden State Teacher Grant program (GSTG) is for students who are currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program to earn a credential in a high need field and commit to teach at a priority school, in California for four years, within five years after completing a teacher preparation program.

The definition of a high-need field and a list of priority schools can be found on this .

Amount for 202425 School Year

Up to $20,000 is available to eligible, currently enrolled students in 51蹤獲s teacher preparation programs.

Application

Review the following application requirements:

  1. with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).

  2. The Office of Financial Aid will contact the applicant to review eligibility and will then certify eligibility with CSAC. Note that during this part of the process the applicant will complete a 51蹤獲 Golden State Teacher Grant Request Form which will be provided at that time.

  3. CSAC will provide the applicant with a Teaching Agreement to sign.

  4. Once the applicant has signed the Teaching Agreement, a check will be issued by CSAC in the students name. Note that it will take four to six weeks for the check to be issued.

  5. Once the check is received by 51蹤獲, the student will come to the Office of Financial Aid to pick up the check which is made out to the student.

Priority application deadline:

  • Two months prior to the start of an eligible term.

Because of the complexity of the program and the length of time it takes for CSAC to send the check, students are encouraged to complete the application as early as possible.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements and obligation:

  • Be enrolled in a qualifying Teacher Certification program. At 51蹤獲, students are considered enrolled in a qualifying teaching certification program based on the following information:
    • Undergraduate Students
      • Enroll in LEDU 301
      • Apply to the teacher preparation program
      • Be accepted into the teacher preparation program
      • Remain in good standing
    • Graduate Students
      • Apply to the teacher preparation program
      • Be accepted into the teacher preparation program
      • Remain in good standing
  • Current eligible programs at 51蹤獲:
    • Mathematics or science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), including career technical education in STEM areas
    • Science
    • Special education
       
  • Be committed to teaching in a high-need field in a priority school for 4 years (within the first 5 years of completion of a teacher preparation program).

  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.

  • Demonstrate financial need.

  • If a grant recipient does not fulfill the program obligation for any reason, the recipient will be required to repay 25% of the total amount awarded annually for each year the recipient does not do one or more of the following:
    • Be enrolled in or have successfully completed a teacher preparation program approved by the CTC.

    • While enrolled in the teacher preparation program, maintain good academic standing.

    • Complete the required teaching service following completion of the teacher preparation program

This grant is not renewable.

  • Because of the complexity of this process, please allow 2-3 weeks for initial processing by the Office of Financial Aid once you have submitted your application.

  • Eligibility for this grant cannot be spread over multiple years. If a student is not eligible for the full amount in one year, any unused funds will not be available in future years.

LEAD Scholarship (Leaders Engaging and Advancing Diversity)

  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

  • Students should be curious, empathetic and willing to engage honestly in challenging discussions. Being a part of LEAD is a significant commitment and honor. The LEAD Scholars Program seeks applicants who are passionate about diversity, committed to growing with their cohort and willing to invest what they learn into the greater 51蹤獲 community.

Stewart Science Honors Program Scholarship

Amount for 202425 School Year

$1,500 per year

Note: $6,000 of additional financial aid over four qualifying years at 51蹤獲.

  1. Complete and submit your and turn in all required documents (e.g. transcripts, test scores, etc.).

  2. Complete and submit your Stewart Science Honors Program application.

  3. Finalists will be asked to participate in an interview before being accepted into the program and awarded the scholarship.

    • Note: The majority of our scholarships will be granted from this applicant pool.

Note: Late applications will still be considered if there's room in the program.

Eligibility

Students must review the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be an incoming freshman or a freshman transfer student with 15 or fewer credits.

  • Plan to declare a major in the School of Science, Technology and Health: biochemistry, biological science, chemistry, communication sciences and disorders, computer science, engineering physics, human biology, kinesiology, mathematics, nursing, physical education, physical science or physics.

  • A typical applicant to the program has a GPA of at least 3.5; however we take a holistic approach to reviewing each application on several merits including GPA, high school coursework, extracurricular activities, standardized test scores (where available) and interviews.

Renewable Status

Annually renewable. Once accepted to the program, Stewart Scholars must maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.5 and demonstrate a high level of excellence and participation in all aspects of the program.

Continued distribution of the award is contingent on the following:

  • You must remain a full-time student in good standing at 51蹤獲 and in the Stewart Science Honors Program while majoring within the School of Science, Technology and Health;
  • You must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements for financial aid eligibility;
  • You must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above (reviewed at the end of each semester);
  • You must enroll in SNHR 200/400 each term and attend the Stewart Seminars;
  • You must enroll in ENGL 313 and other Stewart-specific courses as announced;
  • You must participate in the 8-week research internship the summer after your freshman year;
  • You must meet with a Stewart Director for advising on an annual basis;
    h) Any exceptions to terms d through f require prior approval of a Stewart Director.

Other institutional aid typically will not reduce this Stewart scholarship unless the Stewart scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the students cost of attendance.

External aid such as private scholarships or Cal Grant will typically not reduce this Stewart scholarship unless the Stewart scholarship reduces eligibility for the external aid, or if the Stewart scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the students cost of attendance. Henry & Marjorie Warren Scholarship

Henry Warren, who died in September 1999, was chairman of 51蹤獲s business department from 1977 to 1987. He began his career as a welder, and after returning to college following World War II, held a number of diverse positions, including vice president of ITT, founder of Flotech, presidential advisor, economist, and World Bank consultant. He is considered the architect of the School of Business, and provided many of the ideals and standards that we strive for in structuring our program today.

Horace and Dot Felkins Scholarship

Horace and Dot Felkins were raised in the Hills of Arkansas. Born to poor families, Horaces father was a plumber and Horace learned the trade at an early age. Several members of the Felkins Family came to know the Lord at a traveling revival meeting in the area, and eventually the entire family came to know the Lord.

Horace and Dot felt compelled to start a scholarship fund as God has blessed them so mightily through their business and investments. They chose a business education because of the difference it can make, and they chose 51蹤獲 because of the impact that the university has had in the lives of many people they know.

In order to receive a theatre scholarship. You must meet or exceed the following criteria:

  1. Audition for or agree to participate in a fall or spring production. If you are cast in a part for a particular show, you will be expected to provide additional assistance in areas such as: costuming, make-up, set construction, promotion/event planning for an individual play production;

  2. Number of hours of participation must be at least 72 hrs. (rehearsals/performance) or 40 hours for behind-the-scenes production work (i.e. set construction). Failure to meet minimum standards or hours will result in reduction or elimination of the awarded scholarship;

  3. GPA for all classes must be at least 3.00 and GPA within the Conservatory must be at least 3.3 to be considered for a Drama Scholarship;

  4. Awardees must maintain contact during a semester with either the production director or the production coordinator to report for work or identify what tasks are being accomplished;

  5. Please attach a resume of previous experience in play productions and roles. Experience is an important factor in determining award recipients.
