If you’re eligible for grants, remember: These are need-based awards that do not need to be repaid. Grants are offered based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA, so it’s important to meet all the necessary deadlines to make sure you can receive all the grant aid you’re eligible for.
Cal Grant A
A tuition-specific, state entitlement award, funded by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).

California Military Department GIA Bill Award Program
A tuition-specific, state entitlement award, funded by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). For active members in the California National Guard, the State Military Reserve, or the Naval Militia. This award is designed to provide an educational incentive to improve your skills, competencies and abilities.

Teaching Credential Grant
A need-based grant awarded by the Office of Financial Aid to students in the School of Education’s teaching credential program.
